Dr. Jason Rivers is a Clinical Professor of dermatology and past director of the dermatology residency program at the Department of Dermatology and Skin Science, University of British Columbia. He has lectured and published extensively on skin cancer and devoted significant efforts to research and collaboration on various government and industry-sponsored initiatives in prevention and treatment. Dr. Rivers has practiced aesthetic dermatology for more than 25 years and has been an early adopter of many laser/energy devices in Canada. He is a member of numerous dermatologic associations and is past president of the Canadian Society for Dermatologic Surgery. Dr. Rivers demonstrates a genuine enthusiasm for writing and research, culminating in literary contributions of more than 150 articles and book chapters. He was the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Cutaneous Medicine and Surgery from 2005 to 2015 and continues to be an expert peer-reviewer or editorial board member for major dermatology journals. Dr. Rivers has been a primary investigator for numerous clinical studies in both medical and aesthetic dermatology, including psoriasis, actinic keratosis, skin cancer, rosacea, neuromuscular blocking agents, injectable fillers, and non-invasive body contouring.

Dr. Ulmer is a board-certified dermatologist, with special interests in medical and aesthetic dermatology, including laser-based therapy, hyaluronic acid dermal fillers, and Xeomin®, Botox® and Botox Cosmetic® injections. With the aim of educating the public on the importance of sun protection and skin cancer prevention, she participates annually in local skin cancer screening events and has given educational lectures on melanoma and non-melanoma cancer. Dr. Ulmer is a Clinical Instructor at the Department of Dermatology and Skin Science, University of British Columbia, where she completed her dermatology residency. She is also committed to medical dermatology and has been actively involved in clinical research – a selection of her work has been published in the medical literature and presented at dermatology conferences. The comprehensive range of Dr. Ulmer’s expertise includes medical, procedural and cosmetic dermatology. She is dedicated to working with patients to optimize their skin health through addressing individual skin-related concerns, developing basic skin care regimens, and offering a broad spectrum of advanced options.
